5-step evaluation framework
Product Specification Verification
We verify manufacturer claims against independent tests: noise level (dB), dust cup capacity (L), cord length, attachment count, battery runtime, and suction power. Claims like "under 60 dB" are cross-referenced with owner reports and available third-party measurements before being cited as fact.
Breed-Specific Suitability Analysis
We evaluate each kit for performance across coat types: single-coat small breeds, double-coat large breeds, and medium mixed-coat dogs. Suction levels, attachment shapes, and noise considerations differ significantly by breed. Dr. Park flags any attachment or technique that poses risk for specific conditions (skin sensitivity, arthritis, anxiety disorders).
200+ Owner Review Analysis
We read Amazon and Chewy reviews and tag each by: dog breed mentioned, coat type, reported problem (clogging, noise, pulling), and whether the outcome was positive or negative. We look for statistically consistent patterns, not individual testimonials. A product with 15% of reviewers reporting clogging is noted as having a clogging concern regardless of overall star rating.
Veterinary Review & Sign-Off
Dr. Park reviews all health claims, grooming technique recommendations, skin safety notes, and feeding/paw care guidance before publication. His sign-off is mandatory for any page containing medical or safety content. Pages may be delayed or revised based on his review.
Editorial Final Review
We verify all links, check that prices are current, confirm all schema is valid, and ensure the page answers the search intent without overstating product capabilities. Any manufacturer claim we cannot independently verify is labeled as "per manufacturer" rather than stated as fact.
What we do not do
- We do not accept free products for review from any manufacturer.
- We do not use numeric scores (8.7/10) which create false precision. We describe what each product does well and poorly.
- We do not rely on manufacturer data alone for noise level or suction claims.
